After more than a year of development and testing, we are pleased to present our Mast Hardcore Freestyle, The VARRUX-PRO-MODEL 100
Once again at HATROPINA we have managed to raise the bar of our products by creating a Mast with super performance and excellent quality
Thanks to and together with our athlete Gabriele Varrucciu "Varrux-984" we have conceived, studied, and developed a completely new Mast, 100% carbon with those specific characteristics needed for modern freestyle. Very few on the market have designed a specific project like this.
The reason for this project is simple, freestyle is the most technical discipline there is and the performance and characteristics that the rider seeks in a freestyle rig are very different from the performance and characteristics for another use. These specific characteristics ensure that the rider has a Mast with maximum performance in their special discipline. Regardless of the level in windsurfing, this translates into performance for everyone

The Mast has been designed to have a TOP with superior reactivity and dynamic response compared to other masts, to allow greater power, acceleration and to ensure that the rig remains firm without flexing when it catches the wind during freestyle maneuvers.
The Mast is incredibly light (1.170kg/370 and 1.290kg/400) and this is felt in the hands, the Mast transforms every gust into power and speed while keeping the sail light and always with maximum comfort and control, allowing you to focus completely on moves and tricks. Additionally, thanks to its weight, it makes the Rig lighter, improves handling, makes sessions longer, and reduces fatigue
In tests, we also found excellent stability and control with strong overpowering and difficult conditions, the Mast is able to discharge excess power very well.
Extraordinarily fast reflex, which translates into an increase in the performance of your sail, (similar to the increase in horsepower in a car). The reflex also helps resistance to breakage, because the flexion-stretching value of the carbon fiber raw material is greater.
A perfect combination of geometries, unidirectional fibers T800, top-level raw materials, and prepreg technology. This Mast ranks as one of the best RDM on the market, and the result is: the most performing freestyle Mast ever produced in series that amplifies performance!
And as always to make it, we turned to those who invented carbon masts, the first, those who have developed and produced for almost all historical brands, the Reglass srl, A completely Italian company, which produces exclusively in Italy including the carbon fiber used to make their products. Designed, developed, produced in ITALY to keep the quality level at the highest levels
As with our previous model, we requested that they develop a Mast with exceptional performance characteristics as the primary goal, therefore with a reflex superior to the standard ones, naturally 100% carbon, in T800 Fiber (used in the aeronautical sector), therefore without the presence of fiberglass. The curve is Constant Curve which guarantees perfect compatibility with most sails on the market
The Mast has a new "matte finish" look without external films, the stickers are not applied externally but impregnated within the material, with a special advanced technology used by Reglass. Structural reinforcement in Kevlar in the connection/Boom area, which also acts as an anti-slip to prevent the Boom from sliding. The special joint is glued with the precision that only Reglass is able to achieve. MAST BAG to preserve the Mast during transport (read the label on the top to safeguard and protect the Mast)
Most brands today use T400-500 carbon for their top-of-the-line masts. At HATROPINA we use T800 for all masts. This translates into performance and quality! And this is something that everyone, from the beginner to the PWA pro, will feel and appreciate immediately
