For 2026, the work has been focused on making the Alchemy more manageable, lighter, and responsive, while naturally maintaining its exceptional stability and wind range inherent in its DNA. Incredibly fluid, stable, and versatile with a great top-end and wind range. The 2026 model benefits from exciting improvements in design and materials, including the new original fabric Carbon 2XD. S2MAUI is the first to use a double Dyneema™ X-ply and a carbon warp network that orients the fibers in 5 different directions, increasing multi-axial stability and strength, while reducing weight.

The 2026 Alchemy is the 5-batten wave sail equipped with classic handling, early planing, and smooth and constant acceleration. Even for wave-riding, it has extraordinary stability and efficiency at every moment.

CONSTRUCTION AND TECHNOLOGY

Lighter and more dynamic than ever, the Carbon+Tech construction of the Alchemy 2026 now uses four unique versions of SpaceLight™, each optimized for the specific structural requirements of every part of the sail. Entirely constructed with premium Technora ™ Spacelight ™, Warp-Path system, boosted with the NEW Carbon Spacelight™ and Carbon 2XD™ material, highly valuable and expensive, incredibly responsive, extremely durable, and ultra-light for an incredible feeling of lightness, fluidity, and unparalleled reactivity. Technology that combines the highest value of High-Tech fabric strength with minimal elasticity in the lower part of the sail body and in "high-stress" areas, becoming progressively lighter as you move up the sail. The lower body of the sail is entirely constructed with the exclusiveHyper-Carbon Spacelight™ from S2Maui, which provides incredible stability, offers extreme resistance where needed, and has zero stretch characteristics. The central and upper body of the sail is made ofTechnora™ SpaceLight™ultra-light, durable, and responsive, with a reduced number of seams. Get the most out of your S2Maui sails with these simple tips for perfect trimming.

The S2Maui sails have a very wide wind range, so often while others are changing sails, with the S2Maui this can be avoided by adjusting appropriately.

The S2Maui sails have very intuitive trimming and adjustment, so we can start with simple initial tips:

Use a Mast constant curve with a good % of carbon >80%.
Follow the Mast and Boom length indications on the sail, keep in mind that depending on the Boom and Extension you use, you might add or subtract a couple of cm from what is indicated on the sail, because each brand (of Boom and extensions) measures the length (in cm) from different points.
Tighten the downhaul all the way and then adjust only the Clew depending on whether you want more or less power.
The Head of the S2Maui will never open too much, this is because the sails have a geometry and a wind release system different from other sails.
To understand if you have adjusted the Clew correctly, looking at the sail profile from the clew/Boom, the last batten at the bottom should make a "concave" U profile, if the batten makes an "S" profile, it means the Clew is too tight, so loosen it until it makes the U.

Sono anni che uso del k4, l'ultima esperienza l'ho fatta con le incenerator 8 per la mia tavola 75 ultimate. Finalmente ho trovato quella dolcezza , senza togliere niente alla radicalità della tavola. Sto pensando di sostituire anche le posteriori da 13 e mezzo con lo stesso tipo di pinne. Ho avuto conferma della serietà di Hatropina, anche da questo acquisto, del valore di pochi euro, per un set di viti di ricambio. A causa di uno sciopero nazionale, la spedizione ha avuto un ritardo, ma i ragazzi di Hatropina oltre a scusarsi del ritardo, che certo non dipedendeva da loro, mi hanno costantemente aggiornato sullo stato della spedizione fino all’avvenuta consegna.

Un boma realmente custom.

La fattura del R2 custom pro è incredibile, nulla a che vedere con boma di altri brand rinomati ma che poi alla fine della fiera producono in Cina, lo si denota dai tanti piccoli particolari. È incredibilmente rigido e leggero. Ci sarà da divertirsi in acqua con uno strumento così.
