The Mast has a fundamental function and is perhaps one of the most underrated elements of the rig.

It is what makes the sail work at its best or can mortify its performance. If it is true that the dedicated Mast of the same sail is a wise choice, its performance can certainly be improved using materials and precautions that amplify its performance, as happens when replacing original parts of an engine to make it more powerful.

We at HCK want to propose and invest in our windsurf components, with materials of absolute quality; ours is a niche sport, by now everyone who practices it has a remarkable level of knowledge and experience, and that is why every single component cannot disappoint from a technical aspect.

We therefore thought of turning to those who invented the carbon trees, the first ones, those who developed and produced for almost all the historic brands, the Reglass srl, a completely Italian company, which produces exclusively in Italy including the carbon fiber used to make their products.

When we met with the engineers of Reglass to design our Mast, we had very clear ideas about what we wanted.

We requested that they develop a Mast with exceptional performance characteristics as the primary goal, therefore with a reflex superior to the standard ones. The choice fell on 100% carbon trees, built with T800 Fiber (used in the aeronautical sector), therefore without the presence of fiberglass. After several tested prototypes, the result was far above expectations.

The curve we requested is a classic 63/76 which ensures perfect compatibility with S2MAUI sails but essentially with most sails on the market today that are Constant Curve. We remember that although the curve is an objectively important data, the function of a Mast is not only to ensure a good sail profile, but to bring its profile to the optimal position as quickly as possible.

The extremely reduced weights produce the following benefits:

The Mast has a minimalist look, with a matte color and structural reinforcements in the Boom area. The joint is glued with the precision that only Reglass can achieve
